Steve Palumbo: Ducks Lose To The Stars But All Is Not Lost The Anaheim Ducks were kicked around by the Dallas Stars in their own building during Wednesday nights 6-2 loss at the Honda Center. The Ducks played perhaps one of their worst games in more than a month but all is not lost.

For the most part the Ducks have been playing some pretty good hockey lately. Every now and again you'll see what happened last night. The next game is important that they put together a solid effort in order to not fall back into the losing ways/trends.

ANA's J.F. Jacques clears waivers.

The Ducks looked out of sorts. Perhaps playing in Phoenix the night before may have had something to do with it. With that said, I expect them to take care of the Jackets on Friday.

The Phoenix-Socal is a bad back to back. I was nervous about this game form the start and I was unfortunately right. I know Brucie is going to ride Hiller but I would have given him the night off. Dallas' first two goals were bad goals for Hiller and it was all down the crapper from there. I still don't get Anaheim's cutesy behind the back passes in the neutral zone against a team that traps as much as Dallas does.

The Ducks D had several bad turnovers. Plus when the forwards were able to start a cycle the D couldn't maintain possession. That was the difference in the game.
